GoldPriceToday.info publishes live gold, silver, platinum and palladium prices in U.S. dollars, together with the tables and tools people use to value what they own: prices per gram and pennyweight, karat values, coin melt values and a scrap gold calculator.

How the site is organized
Every page belongs to one section, and every section has a hub page that lists all of its pages. That keeps related answers one click apart and gives each question its own page instead of burying it in a long article.

Editorial standards
The numbers on this site come from market data and fixed formulas. The explanations around them follow a short set of rules.
- Primary sources first. Karat and stamping rules follow the FTC Guides for the Jewelry, Precious Metals, and Pewter Industries (16 CFR Part 23). Coin specifications come from the issuing mints, contract details from CME Group, and tax statements from IRS rules and state revenue departments.
- No invented figures. If a number cannot be tied to a rule, a specification or a dated historical record, it does not appear. Worked examples are labeled as examples and never presented as today’s price.
- Dated facts are dated. Rules that change, such as state sales tax on bullion, carry the date they were last checked.
- No paid placement. No dealer, mint or broker pays to be mentioned, and none is recommended.
- Corrections are made openly. When a reader reports an error and it is confirmed, the page is fixed and its update date changes.
Where a rule differs by state or country, pages say so and point you to the authority that decides, rather than guessing.
Independence and limits
GoldPriceToday.info is an information service. It does not take custody of metal, process payments or hold customer accounts, so it has no reason to push you toward buying or selling.
- Prices are market references. What a dealer charges or pays will be higher or lower, and the pages explain by how much and why.
- Nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice. Tax pages describe the rules in general terms; your situation may differ.
- The site is not connected to the U.S. Mint, the Treasury, the IRS, CME Group or any exchange.
- No affiliate links or sponsored content. If advertising is ever shown, it will be labeled as such and kept separate from editorial pages, and advertisers will have no say over what we write.
